Mission Senegal
Dear Family and Friends
Thank you for all your prayers concerning Girls Camp, we had a wonderful time. There were between 15-20 girls throughout the weekend. This year I had a group of younger girls, 12-16 years old. The women from the Oussouye Church were very engaged in the planning and also the leadership of the camp. For each topic we held large group discussions, where the women from the church would share their testimonies and stories from their lives and then girls would ask questions. It was a very Jola manner of the older women instructing the young. Our tie dye turned out wonderful as did our group quilt that we made based on the theme from the weekend, 1 Timothy 4:12. Thank you to all who sent supplies and donations for the Girls Camp.

Last weekend was my friend Karin's wedding. She is Marcel's niece and has had a boutique in Kabrousse for the last six years. She was the last women holding the fort in Kabrousse from the days Boris was pastoring there. A missionary has taken over the work there, releasing Karin to pursue other things in her life. She married a pastor from Dakar, Diedoune Santos.
Things are on the move at the Missionary Training Center today. Our electrician, Kokovi, is installing security lights around the house. Tom and Lorrie are busy moving into their house at the Mission. Pete is meeting with one of our Muslim neighbors helping him with some important paperwork and my friend Yama is visiting from one of the isolated river villages.
Thank you for all your prayers concerning Pete's health. He is doing much better. We have started cooking classes each Thursday at Astou and Marcel's home. Please continue to support Pete with encouraging emails, in prayer and financially if you are able.
Thank you for all you do in my own life to support Mission Senegal. I appreciate all the ways that you partner with this work to spread the Gospel.
Much Love
Kristina A. Friedrich

Moses and the Red Sea at Kids Club

Sometimes coloring can take a lot out of you
There's moses crossing the red sea

This was our project today.  When you fold the paper the people are crossing through the center on the sand while the sea is around them.

Later we watched Goonies.  Chunk is Chonko in French

Senegal Birds

Senegal is known for it's amazing bird life.  We just have gorgeous birds.  This bird is one of the most striking to me.  It has glowing yellow eyes.

Grafting the trees

Tom, Pete, Garard and Michel spent yesterday grafting the fruit trees we planted on our property.  They graft in a branch from another tree so that when our trees bear fruit they will bring forth multiple fruits on one tree.
